Ilon Musk found himself at the center of controversy after being accused of using a "booster" service to level up a character to 97 in Path of Exile 2. The allegations surfaced following a 32-minute video by popular streamer Asmongold, who delved into the rumors that Musk might have either purchased a high-level character or had it leveled up by someone else. Asmongold highlighted the significant time commitment required to reach level 97, sparking questions about how Musk manages his time between his roles at SpaceX, Tesla, and X while supposedly grinding in the game.

Adding fuel to the fire, viewers noted that during Musk's streams, he appeared unfamiliar with the game mechanics, which seemed implausible for someone who had supposedly taken a character from zero to level 97.

In response to Asmongold's video, Musk took to social media, suggesting that Asmongold also "needs to coordinate with the boss" and that the streamer consults with a team of editors before posting on the X network. Asmongold quickly clarified that he doesn't have a boss and that the editors he works with are employed by him, a standard practice among many content creators on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. This setup allows streamers to focus on content creation while leaving the editing to professionals.

Asmongold pointed out that Musk's comments only underscore a lack of understanding about the behind-the-scenes processes of content creation.
