Streamer Asmongold has issued a bold challenge to Ilon Musk regarding his gaming prowess in Path of Exile 2. Asmongold claims that Musk did not personally level his character to 97 in the game's permanent death mode and has offered a significant incentive if proven wrong. "Has Ilon Musk played on this account up to level 97? The answer is very simple: no. Unequivocally, without a doubt. If Ilon Musk can prove that he pumped the hero himself to level 97, I will host all of my broadcasts on X for a year," Asmongold stated.
Adding fuel to the fire, fellow streamer Quin recently released a video suggesting that Musk might have paid others to level his character, casting further doubt on Musk's claims.
Meanwhile, the developers at Grinding Gear Games are keeping busy with Path of Exile 2, which continues to dominate the Steam charts despite some launch hiccups. The team is committed to improving the game, with a new patch, version 0.1.1, on the horizon. A video preview of this update has been released, showcasing numerous fixes aimed at resolving minor issues without major overhauls to the game's economy. Although these might seem like small changes, their cumulative effect is expected to significantly enhance the gaming experience.
