A recent leak suggests Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will include a free 4-star character selector, potentially as part of a limited-time event. This selector would allow players to choose one of four characters: Qingque, Pela, Serval, or Asta.
This news comes as Honkai: Star Rail's 3.0 update approaches, introducing new gameplay elements and characters. While the game boasts a roster of 23 4-star characters, many are outclassed in the current meta. However, some remain valuable in specific team compositions, particularly with higher Eidolon levels. Previous updates (Versions 2.1 and 2.7) offered similar free selectors, facilitating Eidolon acquisition.
The leak, originating from prominent leaker HomDGCat, indicates the selector will be a timed event, mirroring past events. Interestingly, all four offered characters debuted in Version 1.0, with Asta even being an early-game acquisition. This leak supports previous rumors suggesting a potential shift towards predominantly 5-star character releases in upcoming updates, with Amphoreus possibly focusing on 5-star units.
