A dedicated fan base continues to enhance the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, creating their own remasters to address shortcomings in the official version. Shapatar XT's remaster, for example, incorporates over 50 modifications.

The enhancements go beyond simple graphical improvements. Shapatar XT tackled the infamous "flying trees" bug, optimizing map loading to provide players with advance warning of obstacles. The game's vegetation also received a visual overhaul.

Several mods inject new life and detail into the game world. The environment is now littered with realistic "garbage," NPCs engage in street activities like car repairs, and the airport features realistic airplane takeoffs. Furthermore, signs, graffiti, and other textural elements boast improved quality.

Gameplay mechanics have also been upgraded. A new over-the-shoulder camera perspective has been added, along with realistic weapon recoil, improved weapon sounds, and bullet hole physics. CJ's arsenal features updated weapon models, and he can now freely fire in all directions while driving.

Players can opt for a first-person perspective, complete with detailed vehicle interiors (including a visible steering wheel) and realistic weapon handling animations.

A comprehensive car mod pack has been included, featuring vehicles like the Toyota Supra, each with functional headlights, taillights, and animated engines.

Numerous quality-of-life improvements are also present. For instance, the in-store clothing selection process is streamlined, eliminating lengthy animations. CJ can now change outfits instantly, and his character model has been updated.
