Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind iconic titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption from his time at Rockstar Games, is poised to launch his latest project, MindsEye. The game recently showcased its thrilling new visuals during the PlayStation State of Play event.
The newly released trailer for MindsEye reveals an immersive high-tech spy thriller that echoes the intensity of Grand Theft Auto. Fans can expect third-person shooting, high-quality cinematic sequences, and dynamic drive-and-shoot action, all of which you can experience in the cinematic trailer below.
According to the official press release, MindsEye centers around Jacob Diaz, who is fitted with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This device, however, has tampered with his memory, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military service. Driven by a quest to unravel the mysteries of his past, Diaz finds himself confronting an AI-powered military force determined to thwart his journey.MindsEye has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy and collaborated with IO Interactive, the developers behind Hitman, on this ambitious project. Positioned as a AAA action-adventure game, MindsEye is set to debut alongside the Everywhere platform, which we've previously likened to a "Big budget Roblox" after visiting their studio in 2024.
While the Everywhere platform was not highlighted in the latest trailer, MindsEye itself promises to be an exhilarating new entry in the action genre from one of its most celebrated creators. The game is slated for release in the summer of 2025.
