Unlike games with rigid class systems, *Fortnite* offers extensive cosmetic customization through skins. These skins purely alter your character's visual appearance, having no impact on gameplay. How to Change Your Character in Fortnite

Modifying your character's look is straightforward:

1. Open the Locker: Find and click the "Locker" tab at the top of the screen. This houses all your cosmetic items.
2. Select a Skin: Click the first slot (usually on the left) to browse your available skins.
3. Choose a Style: Many skins offer style variations, changing colors or the entire look. Select your preferred style.
4. Apply the Skin: Click "Save and Exit" or close the menu. Your new skin will be applied in-game. If you own no skins, a default skin will be assigned. A 2024 update allows choosing a preferred default skin within the Locker.

Changing Gender

Your character's gender is determined by the selected skin; it's inherent to each skin and can't be changed independently unless offered as a style variation within that skin. To change gender, choose a skin representing your desired gender. If you lack a suitable skin, purchase one from the Item Shop using V-Bucks.

• Item Shop: The daily-updated shop sells various skins and items using V-Bucks.
