Resolve the Prochek and Olbram Feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's "Battle of the Frogs and Mice"
Prochek and Olbram's conflict will persist unless you intervene. Here's how to end their feud during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Starting the Quest:
Complete either the Frogs or Mice quests for Prochek or Olbram. This unlocks "Battle of the Frogs and Mice." Speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Proceed to the designated pasture.
Choosing a Side (or Not):
You can side with either Prochek or Olbram. To support Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" In Zhelejov, tell Olbram "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" A successful dialogue check during negotiations might cause an enemy to flee, simplifying the fight. Victory yields groschen.
Ending the Feud:
For a more peaceful resolution, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram about ending the feud. Then, talk to Bailiff Thrush in Troskowitz. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."
A successful dialogue check allows you to read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room (or sneak a peek – save beforehand!). Choose the dialogue option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."
Locate three oak trees in the pasture. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:
- Leave it: Equally divides the pasture.
- West Tree: Favors Tachov.
- East Tree: Favors Zhelejov.
The choice's impact is minimal; select your preference. Inform Bailiff Thrush; he'll agree to end the feud. Bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the peace. You'll receive the "Master Studies I" book from Bailiff Thrush.
