In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing certain side tasks can lead to their failure, as you can't return to them later. One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial for those aiming to explore a romantic storyline with Rosa. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you successfully complete this side quest.

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To unlock the "Rosa's Book" side quest, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." During "Taking French Leave," assist the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak, either through force or persuasion. After resolving the situation, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll share details about a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans. Rosa will then request that you retrieve a book for her while you're in Maleshov. Be sure to inquire about the specific book and commit to bringing it back to her, thereby initiating the "Rosa's Book" quest.

It's important to note that you can only complete this quest during the "Taking French Leave" mission. Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will result in the quest failing, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa.

Upon entering Maleshov, head towards the largest tower where Hans is located. Use the stairs on the side of the building to enter the tower discreetly. Inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll encounter Lady Ofka, who is facing the fireplace. Approach her from behind and knock her out. Collect the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and a sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, locate Rosa's book to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick up the red book, and your objective will update to return it to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to enter the adjacent room and take another sword from the chest there. This will save you time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. Once you've gathered everything, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can advance your romantic prospects with him by selecting the dialogue option marked with a heart, provided you made the same choice earlier in Trosky. Then, sneak towards the stables on the north side of Maleshov, neutralizing guards and hiding them as necessary. After securing a safe path, signal Hans and ensure he reaches the stables without interference.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, marking the end of the quest. After the cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
