Following the buzz around their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android users. The studio's vision is clear: to introduce the game to a broader audience and offer existing fans a portable version of the beloved title. The first two chapters will be available for free, with a one-time payment unlocking the full, ad-free experience.
ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase." They highlighted their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, underscoring their dedication to delivering a quality mobile experience.

Denis Havel, the studio head, shared an ambitious goal to engage the TikTok audience. "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," he said. The announcement was accompanied by a debut trailer and screenshots, showcasing new 360-degree scenes that place players in the heart of Revachol, enhanced by full voiceover to enrich the immersive experience.
The official description promises a reimagined version of the award-winning RPG, tailored for today's mobile users. "This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices," the blurb reads. Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in brief intervals.
Disco Elysium is set to hit mobile devices via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note, however, that while ZA/UM retains the studio name, many original contributors to Disco Elysium have since departed, with some working on new projects inspired by their time on the game.
