Paradox Interactive has revealed initial details about their upcoming Crusader Kings 3 expansion, centered around nomadic rulers. This DLC introduces a revolutionary governance system specifically designed for nomadic gameplay. A new currency, "herd," will be central to a ruler's power, influencing military might, cavalry unit composition, relationships with vassals, and other core game mechanics.
The nomadic lifestyle necessitates constant movement. A chieftain's migrations will be dynamic, shaped by choices to negotiate with settled populations or forcibly displace them.
Furthermore, rulers will command transportable yurts, similar to adventurer camps. These yurts can be upgraded with various components offering distinct advantages.
The expansion also features iconic yurt towns, which nomadic kings will carry with them, mirroring the functionality of adventurer camps. These mobile settlements can be enhanced with additional structures, each providing unique benefits.
