Several Annapurna Interactive Games Unaffected by Mass Resignation

Control 2 Remains Unaffected

Annapurna Interactive's recent mass staff resignation sparked concerns about the future of its projects. However, several titles appear unaffected, including highly anticipated games like Control 2 and Wanderstop.

The resignation led to uncertainty, with developers scrambling to understand the implications for their partnerships with Annapurna, as reported by Bloomberg News.

Control 2 Development Continues

Remedy Entertainment, the developer of Control 2, quickly confirmed on Twitter (X) that their agreement, including publishing rights, is with Annapurna Pictures, and that Remedy is self-publishing Control 2, ensuring its development and release remain on track.

Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road similarly reassured fans that Wanderstop development is progressing without interruption. Wreden expressed confidence in its imminent release.

Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, also seems unaffected, though the team acknowledged the loss of the Annapurna Interactive team.

Beethoven & Dinosaur, creators of The Artful Escape, confirmed that their upcoming title, Mixtape, is continuing development.

Conversely, the status of several other games, including Silent Hill: Downfall, Morsels, The Lost Wild, and Bounty Star, remains unclear pending developer statements. The future of Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, an internally developed Annapurna Interactive title, is also uncertain.

Annapurna Pictures CEO Megan Ellison affirmed their commitment to supporting their partners amidst the transition. While the situation remains fluid, many developers have expressed optimism regarding their projects.
