Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Authore: MilaUpdate:Apr 14,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests designed to encourage competitive play through fast clear times. In response to this update, Capcom is taking a firm stance against cheating to maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

Capcom has issued a stern warning via its official Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." The company emphasized that not only will cheaters face consequences, but players participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could also see their quest completion times invalidated and rewards revoked for the entire party.

Capcom advises players to be cautious and avoid multiplayer sessions with individuals engaging in or suspected of prohibited activities. The company encourages players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests. These competitive quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, distributed to all participants and based on Completion Time or hunter rankings. This underscores Capcom's commitment to cracking down on cheating, especially given the potential impact on rewards and completion times.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be launched with Title Update 1 and can be accessed through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja. To unlock the Grand Hub, players must first complete a special tutorial mission. Make sure to prioritize this task once Title Update 1 becomes available tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
