Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Allows Players to Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

Summary

  • A new Warzone glitch allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • This glitch requires a friend and involves specific steps in a private Warzone match.
  • This unofficial method is likely to be patched in a future update.

A Call of Duty: Warzone player has discovered a glitch enabling the use of Modern Warfare 3's camos on Black Ops 6 weapons—a feature many players believe should be standard. While MW3 weapons remain accessible in Warzone, many meta weapons originate from Black Ops 6, rendering previously earned MW3 camos unusable.

Black Ops 6 players are currently grinding for mastery camos, earned through in-game challenges culminating in the coveted Dark Matter camo. Unlike purchased blueprints, these camos require significant effort. However, players who already unlocked these camos in MW3 find them redundant in Warzone after Black Ops 6's release. This glitch offers a potential solution.

A method, showcased by Twitter user BSPGamin (via Dexerto), allows MW3 camos to be applied to BO6 weapons in Warzone. Crucially, this is an unofficial exploit, and likely to be removed by Treyarch Studios and Raven Software.

The glitch requires a friend. Begin by starting a private Warzone match, equipping a BO6 weapon in the first loadout slot, and joining a friend's lobby. Next, equip an MW3 weapon, and repeatedly select the desired camo while the host switches to a private match. The friend then leaves, the player repeats the camo selection while the friend rejoins a private match. Successfully completing these steps should apply the camo to the BO6 weapon.

For players preferring to use BO6 camos but struggling to unlock mastery camos, Treyarch has confirmed the addition of an in-game challenge tracking feature. This feature, present in MW3, was absent from Black Ops 6 but will return in a future update.
