"Call of Duty Merch Shop Hints at Verdansk Return Next Week"

Authore: SophiaUpdate:Mar 26,2025

Exciting news for Call of Duty Warzone fans: the beloved Verdansk map is set to make a triumphant return on March 10, 2025. Activision first hinted at the comeback last August, promising a "spring 2025" relaunch, but now, a specific date has finally been revealed. Players visiting the Call of Duty shop are greeted with a pop-up titled "The Verdansk Collection," complete with a countdown timer set to conclude on March 10, 2025. This update was first spotted by InsiderGaming.

Accompanying the announcement is a striking tri-color sketch depicting an alpine scene, complete with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—elements iconic to the original Verdansk map. Fans will recall these sights from their time in Warzone before the map evolved into Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and was later replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to revisit Verdansk is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.

This news is particularly thrilling for those who were disheartened by the 2021 statement that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back." With Verdansk's return, players are eager to dive back into the familiar terrain.

In other Call of Duty news, Black Ops 6 Season 2 is now live, introducing five new Multiplayer maps: Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind. The update also brings back the beloved Gun Game mode, along with new weapons and operators. Fans can also enjoy a unique, albeit pricey, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event.

Meanwhile, Warzone has received fewer updates than initially planned as the development team focuses on resolving critical issues, including gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life enhancements. This commitment to improving the player experience is expected to pave the way for a smoother return to Verdansk.
