Brok the InvestiGator is getting a festive spin-off! This free, hour-long visual novel prequel, titled Brok Natal Tail Christmas, offers a heartwarming Christmas story, a departure from the main game's beat 'em up style.
The game follows Graff and Ott as they navigate a twisted version of Christmas, "Natal Untail," in their world, Atlasia. Despite the corruption, they discover the true spirit of the season with Brok's help.
While short, this visual novel represents a genre shift for developer Cowcat, showcasing their new Brokvn Engine. It's a free gift for fans, and the exploration of a new genre is commendable. The only reason to skip it might be a strong aversion to visual novels.
A Point-and-Click Christmas Treat
Given its free nature and festive spirit, criticizing the length feels unfair. Cowcat's willingness to experiment with a different genre is praiseworthy. There's little risk in trying it; unless you actively dislike visual novels, there's no reason not to give it a shot.
