Assetto Corsa EVO: Fierce Rival to Gran Turismo and Forza Debuts

Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, from Kunos Simulazioni Studios, hits Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025.

This initial release boasts 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, expect highly realistic physics, precise handling, and authentic car behavior.

A standout feature is the free-roam mode, allowing for unrestricted exploration. A significant summer 2025 update promises a massive addition: a fully laser-scanned open world encompassing the legendary Nürburgring and its surrounding roads, initially covering a staggering 1600 square kilometers, with further expansion planned.

Assetto Corsa EVO aims to challenge established giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, promising photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics. The full launch will feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with continuous free content updates planned. Each circuit will be meticulously recreated, down to rolling tires, wet surfaces, and animated spectators.

Developers have refined car dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption. Early Access will include the Driving Academy mode, featuring time trials on the included tracks, culminating in a license to unlock the game's top-tier vehicles. This mode represents a key single-player component of the Early Access release.
