After beating Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can continue to enjoy nearly all the activities available before. The game features a sprawling open world set in Feudal Japan, brimming with side content. Completing the main quest doesn't restrict access to any of this, allowing you to fully explore and immerse yourself in the world post-storyline.
Additionally, new weekly challenges will be introduced through the Animus after the game's launch, ensuring there's always something new to tackle, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
After the credits roll, the story might not be fully over. In my playthrough, the title and credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Then, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and the related achievements.
There's also exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke, which you can earn near the game's end. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's play style, and their designs are sure to resonate with long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, players can continue to progress well beyond the credits, up to the game’s maximum level cap.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story concludes at launch, there's much more to anticipate. New content will be added through the Animus, and the store is expected to be updated with fresh items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is scheduled for release in 2025. This DLC will transport players to the Island of Awaji and offer over 10 hours of new content.
