Aquarion Tribe Gets Major Boost in The Battle of Polytopia, Becomes Thalassic Powerhouse

Midjiwan has just released a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia, featuring a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe, the first special tribe introduced back in 2017. This update brings a fresh and exciting twist to the game.

The Aquarion Are Getting A Serious Makeover

Let's dive into the details of their new look. The Aquarion's land units now boast mermaid tails, indicating they might be fully aquatic or at least amphibious. These units can now move effortlessly across water but are slightly slower on land. A new type of terrain, flooded terrain, allows both land and naval units to coexist in the same space, adding a strategic depth to gameplay.

The update extends to buildings as well, which can now be constructed on water. Players can discover Lost Cities within deep-sea ruins, providing an ideal base for those who prefer aquatic warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water-based cities, eliminating the need for roads. Additionally, Aqua Crops, a permanent addition to the Aquarion toolkit, function similarly to their land-based equivalents.

Prepare to encounter new sea creatures introduced by the Aquarion Tribe. Sharks now offer surprise attacks, Puffers provide long-range bombardments, and Jellies can zap opponents with electric shocks. The beloved Tridentions and Crabs make a return, with Crabs now capable of flooding tiles they cross, perfectly complementing the mermaid-tailed units. Curious about how it all looks?
