Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

Authore: DylanUpdate:May 22,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This price point represents one of the most competitive offers for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially given the upward trend in pricing since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is listed over $4,000. Attempting to source a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build might cost you as much as this entire system.

Update: Like many others, Dell has been affected by recent tariffs. Given the ongoing stock issues with Blackwell cards, we anticipate that prices on Alienware gaming desktops featuring RTX 50 series GPUs will rise in the near future.

Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, a current-gen Meteor Lake processor, offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards released (and quickly sold out). In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – its performance gain over the RTX 4080 is marginal, though the added frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation enhance visuals in supported games. However, for gamers with older GPUs looking for a significant performance boost, the RTX 5080 delivers, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial batch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to launch, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs have faced similar challenges, with many models now out of stock, increased in price, or facing long delivery delays.
