Le directeur créatif de Helldivers 2, Johan Piléestt, a annoncé un congé sabbatique bien mérité. À son retour, il se concentrera sur le prochain projet de Arrowhead.

Le tweet de Piléestt a révélé un engagement de 11 ans dans la franchise HellDivers, englobant le titre original de 2013 et Helldivers 2, lancé début 2016. Il a cité la charge de travail exigeante comme raison de son congé, déclarant que cela a conduit à négliger sa famille, ses amis et son propre bien-être. Son congé sabbatique vise à rectifier ce déséquilibre.

Il a exprimé sa confiance dans le succès continu d'Arrowhead avec Helldivers 2, assurant les fans d'un développement continu. Le succès phénoménal du jeu, devenant le titre le plus vendu le plus rapide des PlayStation Studios avec 12 millions d'exemplaires vendus en 12 semaines, a propulsé Pilatestt sous les projecteurs. Ce succès a même conduit à une adaptation cinématographique planifiée.

Le rôle de premier plan de Piléestt dans la lutte contre les commentaires des communautés sur les réseaux sociaux, Reddit et Discord a également contribué à son profil élevé.
