How to Enter Your Code

3. [3] Double-check that the code has been entered correctly, then confirm. Depending on your radio model, the confirmation button may vary—common options include 5, *, or >. For example:
   • Ford 6000CD: Confirm with 5
   • Sony units: Confirm with *
   • Most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat models: Confirm with > (right arrow)

What If My Radio Shows "SAFE", "LOCKED", "WAIT", or "ERROR"?

Many car radios come equipped with security features to prevent brute-force entry attempts. Since these are typically 4-digit codes, they can be cracked within a maximum of 9999 attempts. However, to protect against unauthorized access, most radios will block further entries after three incorrect attempts.

Ford Specific Instructions

• If your Ford radio displays "WAIT", leave the unit powered ON for 30 minutes before trying again.
• If "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10" appears, hold down button 6 for ten seconds to regain another set of three attempts.
• If "LOCKED13" is shown, this indicates a semi-permanent lockout that requires dealership intervention.

Volkswagen (VW) Specific Instructions

When a Volkswagen radio reaches three unsuccessful attempts, it will display "SAFE" or "SAFE2". To proceed, leave the unit powered ON for at least 60 minutes before attempting to re-enter the code.
