Wuthering Waves Version 2.1, "Waves Sing, and the Cerulean Bird Calls," is launching February 13th, bringing significant additions to the game. This update introduces new Resonators, weapons, explorable areas, and limited-time events, expanding the Ragunna City landscape and its surrounding regions.
Two new five-star Resonators, Phoebe and Brant, each boasting unique combat styles, headline the update. Accompanying them are new weapons, including the five-star Luminous Hymn and Unflickering Valor, plus the four-star Ocean’s Gift obtainable through a fishing event in the Riccioli Islands.
Exploration expands with the addition of the Vault Underground, a secure storage facility beneath the Sea of Clouds, and the Riccioli Islands, offering a glimpse into Rinascita's history. These areas present unique challenges and enrich the game's lore, further developed through new story content like Brant’s Companion Story and the Silent as a Falling Leaf Exploration Quest. New Echoes, Rage Against the Statue and Aero Prism, introduce fresh combat encounters.
Several limited-time events are also planned. The "Old Man and the Whale" event features a fishing expedition, while "Apex Ragunna" connects to the Carnevale festival, unlocking new areas within the Water City. These events, along with the readily available Wuthering Waves codes, provide numerous opportunities for resource acquisition.
For players focused on combat, the update includes Tactical Simulacra III and Infinite Battle Simulation II, offering structured challenges, and the Whimpering Wastes, a permanent high-difficulty combat zone.
