With Version 5.5, Genshin Impact Is Finally Adding Controller Support for Android

Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! This highly anticipated feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. iOS users enjoyed this convenience back in 2021, and now Android players can join the fun.

Genshin Impact Android Controller Support: Launch Date and Compatible Controllers

Starting March 26th, 2025, explore Teyvat with your preferred controller. Version 5.5 officially supports the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Note that all require Bluetooth connectivity.

Version 5.5: More Than Just Controllers

Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 brings several quality-of-life improvements. Cross-scene quest tracking lets you seamlessly track quests across areas, teleporting directly to your objective via the map. Updated boss guides will aid new players in understanding enemy mechanics. Optimizations are also planned for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system; full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
