Obtaining Isma's Tear necessitates prior discovery of the City of Tears. The quest begins deep within the Royal Waterways, accessed from this area. Within the City of Tears, you'll find a locked latch requiring a Simple Key.Simple Keys are scarce in Hallownest (only four exist). One is located in the Ancient Basin, another in the City of Tears, a third is obtained by defeating the Pale Lurker near the Colosseum of Fools, and the final key is sold by Sly in Dirtmouth. Sly's key is the most readily accessible, costing 950 Geo.
Before embarking on the Isma's Tear quest, ensure you possess the Desolate Dive ability (obtained from the Soul Master). This allows access to the starting point (marked by the leftmost red circle in the image). Before following the marked route, defeat the Dung Defender (white circle) to clear an acid-filled area. Activate the lever in the adjacent room to drain the area.
