Transformers: Reactivate Gameplay Footage Leaks After Game’s Cancellation

Authore: JackUpdate:Feb 19,2025

Leaked gameplay footage of the canceled Transformers: Reactivate has re-emerged online. Originally announced in 2022 by Splash Damage in partnership with Hasbro, the co-op game pitted Autobots and Decepticons against a new alien threat, "the Legion." The game, while showcasing polished gameplay similar to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, was ultimately canceled, leading to potential staff redundancies and a shift in Splash Damage's development focus.

The resurfaced footage, from a 2020 build, features Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, seamlessly transforming between robot and vehicle modes, and engaging in combat. Despite some missing textures, the gameplay demonstrates environmental destruction and includes a glimpse of an unfinished, silent cutscene depicting Bumblebee's arrival in a post-apocalyptic New York City.

Numerous other leaks from 2020 predate the game's official announcement and subsequent cancellation. While Transformers: Reactivate will never be released, the leaked footage offers a look at the game's potential.
