Torchlight: Infinite recently teased its next major update, and now full details have been revealed. The upcoming Sandlord season arrives on April 17th, bringing transformative gameplay changes. With floating metropolises, economic strategy elements, and valuable real-world rewards, season eight represents a significant evolution for the ARPG.
Season eight fundamentally changes the gameplay loop - instead of simply battling monsters, you'll establish an economic empire among the clouds. The new Cloud Oasis system introduces resource trading, worker management, and industrial production chains to develop your sky-bound domain.
Thea returns with an intriguing new playstyle. Her Blasphemer trait replaces divine magic with the Desecration curse, which starts with modest effects but scales dramatically based on depleted blessing power. This opens powerful Erosion damage builds, with customization options focusing on area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling mechanics - perfect for damage-over-time specialists and combo-focused players.
The endgame experience receives major improvements, particularly in the completely overhauled Deep Space. Five new stages feature expanded maps and more formidable enemies. The new Probe system allows players to customize challenge levels and rewards odds, with Compass Probes offering special loot chests.
