New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide explains how.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect icy locales. While Sneasel and Weavile appear in Snowdrop Tundra (as Dark-type Pokémon only – dual typing isn't implemented in Pokémon Sleep), they're also found on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of research location. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to change islands if needed.
Sleep Types
Both Sneasel and Weavile have the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires having a Dozing sleep type for the night. Sneasel is easier to find initially; evolving it to Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to find Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are They Good Additions?
Sneasel's value lies in its ability to gather Wiki Berries in Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides an Extra Tasty boost to dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable team member.

Sneasel Debut Bundle
For a guaranteed Sneasel during its initial week, consider the "Pokémon Befriending Bundle (Sneasel) Vol. 1." Available from December 3rd to 9th, 2024, in the in-game store for 1,500 Gems, it includes befriending biscuits, 2 Sneasel Incense (guaranteeing a Sneasel encounter on appropriate islands), and 60 Sneasel Candy.
