The new year in Pokémon GO brings a wave of exciting Pokémon, and Shroodle is the latest addition! However, unlike many previous releases, catching this Toxic Mouse Pokémon isn't as simple as a wild encounter.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut:
Shroodle arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this newcomer will remain available after the event concludes.
Shiny Shroodle:
Unfortunately, a Shiny Shroodle won't be available at launch. Expect its shimmering variant to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket focused event.
How to Catch Shroodle:
Shroodle isn't found in the wild. Your only method is hatching it from 12KM Eggs. These eggs, obtainable from defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff, and Giovanni), will have a chance of containing Shroodle. The chances are likely increased during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.
Obtaining 12KM Eggs:
12KM Eggs are a rare commodity, exclusively dropped by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event provides an excellent opportunity to stock up, as Rocket Radars will be more readily available. Remember to defeat GO Rocket Grunts to challenge the Leaders.
Acquiring Grafaiai:
Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts on January 15th. It cannot be hatched or found in the wild; evolution is the only path. You'll need 50 Shroodle Candy, achievable through hatching multiple Shroodle or using it as your buddy Pokémon.
Pokémon GO is available now.
