SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic First Crossover!

Sonic Rumble has yet to make its global debut, but it's already stirring up excitement with its first crossover event, dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is live now and will run until May 7th, right before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th.

Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch in the summer of 2024, targeting regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch extended its reach to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and beyond.

What’s in Store?

If you're located in one of the countries where Sonic Rumble has soft-launched, you can jump into the SEGA Stars crossover. A highlight is the return of the Altered Beast crew, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Fans of the classic beast modes can also get the Werebear and Weredragon, but availability depends on your payment method. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Fantasy Zone fans will enjoy the addition of Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, and Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which cost 700 standard rings each.

Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also joined the fray. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a sneak peek of the crossover event in the video below.

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos in matches. Although it might seem odd for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.

This inaugural crossover event showcases a rich tapestry of SEGA's past and present, featuring monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed beasts mingling with Sonic and his friends. This blend of characters adds a promising flair to Sonic Rumble.

You can download the game from the Google Play Store now or wait for its global release on May 8th in your region.
