Lua-Based Malware: A Sneaky Threat
The malware is written in Lua, a popular and relatively easy-to-learn scripting language used in many games, including Roblox, World of Warcraft, and Angry Birds. This accessibility makes it easier for attackers to create and distribute malicious scripts. Attackers utilize "SEO poisoning" to make their fraudulent websites appear legitimate in search engine results. These malicious scripts are often presented as updates or modifications to popular cheat engines like Solara and Electron, frequently associated with Roblox. Deceptive advertisements further lure unsuspecting victims.

Upon execution, the malware connects to a command-and-control (C2) server operated by the attackers. This server collects information about the infected machine and allows the download of additional malicious payloads.
