Pokémon GO's Max Out Season: Dynamax Pokémon Arrive!
Get ready for giant Pokémon! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon in the upcoming Max Out season. This exciting addition brings a whole new level of battling and catching to the game. Let's dive into the details.
Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th
The Max Out season kicks off September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until September 15th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon encounters!
Dynamax Pokémon Debut!
The season introduces Dynamax versions of classic Pokémon in 1-star Max Battles:
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Skwovet
- Wooloo
Catch these Dynamax Pokémon (and their evolutions!), with a chance to snag Shiny variants! Special Field Research tasks will also be available during the event, alongside PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards.
Beyond the initial event, a Seasonal Special Research story will become available September 3rd, running until December 3rd. Complete Max Battle-focused tasks to earn rewards like Max Particles and a new avatar item.
Max Particle Power-Up!
Need a boost? A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
Future Features on the Horizon
Rumors point towards the introduction of Power Spots next month, acting as key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While unconfirmed by Niantic, this addition would significantly enhance the Dynamax experience.
Pokémon GO's senior producer, John Funtanilla, hinted at some Dynamax Pokémon also having Mega Evolution capabilities. However, the addition of Gigantamax Pokémon remains unconfirmed, despite previous teases. Niantic promises further details soon.
