The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is culminating with a focus on teamwork, and Niantic is rolling out the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge from May 20th to May 22nd. During this event, players are encouraged to send as many Gifts as possible to their friends.
From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, you can open up to 50 Gifts each day. This not only increases your chances of receiving Stardust, items, and boosting friendships but also contributes to a collective goal: unlocking giftable Special Research tickets for the Community Day Classic: Machop.
If the global community meets the challenge, starting May 23rd, you'll have the opportunity to send these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend with whom you've achieved Great Friends status. These tickets can be gifted even if you haven't purchased one for yourself. Simply head to the in-game shop to share the Fighting-type excitement. Each trainer can gift up to 20 tickets per day, encouraging generosity among the community.
This event seamlessly transitions into the Machop Community Day Classic on May 24th, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. During this period, the Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, and Shiny Machop will be available for those looking to add a green-glowing Machamp to their collection.
To maximize your experience, evolve Machoke into Machamp up until May 31st to teach it Payback, a Dark-type Charged Attack that enhances Machamp's versatility in battles. Additionally, take advantage of the event's bonuses, including increased Stardust, extended Incense and Lure durations, and Timed Research offering a themed Machop encounter with improved Shiny odds.
