When Does Space-Time Smackdown Come Out in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars: the Space-Time Smackdown expansion set will launch in Pokemon TCG Pocket on January 30, at 1 a.m. Eastern Time. While the trailer mentions a January 29 release, the official Pokemon website and X account clarify that the set will be available on January 30, likely to accommodate various time zones. This means most players will access the new packs on the 30th.

How Many Booster Packs Are There?

Unlike the Genetic Apex set, which featured three booster packs themed around Charizard, Mewtwo, and Pikachu, Space-Time Smackdown will introduce just two packs, centered on Palkia and Dialga. As the poster Pokémon suggest, this expansion is expected to highlight Generation 4, drawing from the Diamond and Pearl games, though cards from other generations will also be included.
