Pokemon GO is set to introduce Gigantamax Kingler on February 1, 2025, as part of the eagerly awaited Max Battle Day event. Last year, the game thrilled its player base by integrating Dynamax and Gigantamax forms, a feature many fans had been anticipating. Since then, Niantic has been consistently expanding the roster of available Gigantamax Pokemon, with Gigantamax Lapras being the most recent addition.
Gigantamax is a special type of Dynamax that not only enlarges a Pokemon and boosts its strength but also alters its appearance and equips it with unique G-Max Moves. In the main series games, 32 Pokemon can achieve Gigantamax form, but Pokemon GO currently features only six such variants. The introduction of Gigantamax Kingler will bring this number to seven.

During the Max Battle Day event, players can collect up to 1600 Max Particles, essential for participating in Pokemon GO's Max Battles. From 1 pm to 5 pm on February 1, players will earn twice as many particles while exploring and need to travel only a quarter of the usual distance to collect Max Particles. A $5 ticket will offer one Max Mushroom, 25000 XP, double XP from Max Battles, and an increased Max Particle collection limit to 5600. Additionally, a $7.99 box containing six particle packs will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store.
Max Battle Day is just one of several exciting events scheduled for February. Niantic has also announced the Lunar New Year event, running from January 29 to February 1, 2025.
