"Necesse: Ultimate Guide to Animal Breeding"

Authore: FinnUpdate:May 16,2025

In survival games, there's always more than one way to approach challenges, and *Necesse* is no exception. While strategies may vary, one constant in the game is the importance of breeding. Here's your comprehensive guide to mastering animal husbandry and breeding in *Necesse*.

How to Tame Animals in Necesse

Before you can start breeding, you need to bring animals into your settlement. Taming animals in *Necesse* is similar to *Minecraft*—you'll need to offer them Wheat, a resource that's readily available. If you've been playing for a while, you've likely planted Wheat Seeds around your settlement or discovered them in caves.

You can feed Wheat directly to the animals or use Feeding Troughs for a more efficient approach. Feeding Troughs allow you to focus on other aspects of your settlement, such as defense against raiders. However, neglecting to refill the Troughs can lead to animals losing their taming progress due to hunger. Successfully tamed animals will join your settlement, paving the way for breeding.

How to Breed Animals in Necesse

With a tamed animal population, you're set to expand your livestock through breeding. Similar to *Pokemon*, you'll need a male and a female of the same species to produce offspring. Enclose them in a fenced area, and if they're fully tamed, they'll enter Love Mode. After a short wait, a baby animal will appear in the pen and grow to full size within minutes.

Be cautious not to overcrowd the pens, as this can hinder the breeding process. It's more effective to use smaller, dedicated breeding pens and move animals strategically. Although this might seem time-consuming, especially as you progress in *Necesse*, there's a way to automate the process.

How to Automate Breeding in Necesse

Not everyone enjoys the intricacies of animal husbandry, and that's perfectly fine. Once you reach the stage where you can recruit Settlers, you can hire an Animal Keeper. Assigning this role to a Settler will take the burden of husbandry off your shoulders, including maintaining the Feeding Troughs. This ensures all your animals, including breeding pairs, remain content and healthy. While you'll still need to oversee the overall process, the daily management of animals won't be your top priority.

And that concludes your complete guide to animal husbandry and breeding in *Necesse*.
