Many dungeons in Metaphor: ReFantazio feature formidable mini-bosses before the final encounter. Even while grinding for XP, these enemies—often highlighted red in Fairy Sight—demand squad combat. The Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example; conquering it requires strategy and a bit of luck.

This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 foes, making it ill-advised to engage below level 45. The Faithwight Magileto wields potent dark and light magic, both single-target and AoE (Megidolaon). Passive buffs amplify these elemental attacks. Further complicating matters, Soul Scream grants it four Press Turn icons per turn, and it can summon level 50 skeletons.

These summoned skeletons boast powerful slashing attacks, dark magic, potent buffs, and access to high-level healing spells, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness to Strike attacks underscores the importance of focusing on this element.

Even at level 50, this fight is incredibly challenging; below that level, it's nearly impossible. Preparation is key:

  • Acquire Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight.
  • Obtain Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype.
  • Skill Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype.
  • Utilize the Warlock Archetype's resistance to dark and light damage.
  • Leverage the Thief Archetype's dark damage resistance.
  • Carry Tetrabreak to counter summoned enemies using Tetrakarn.

Archetype selection is less critical than maximizing the above points and minimizing weaknesses to dark, light, and slash damage. With numerous Archetypes unlocked, prioritize strength-based ones and Skill Inheritance. Ensure at least two party members possess party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with Strike attacks to maximize Press Turn icons and facilitate healing.

Some luck is unavoidable; consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Equipping most party members with Dark and Light Dodge mitigates this risk. Prioritize eliminating summoned allies before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs, but the core strategy involves at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells per turn.
