Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Authore: ClaireUpdate:May 17,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow. The announcement is scheduled for 8am PT/11am ET and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In an exciting post on X today, Bethesda teased the event with an image prominently featuring a large "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic artwork from Oblivion, all but confirming what fans have been eagerly anticipating.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, fueled initially by a 2020 leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023. This document hinted at a remaster planned for fiscal year 2022, though its age and the missed release window led many to believe the project might have been scrapped. However, the buzz reignited in January this year with another leak suggesting that Bethesda, in collaboration with Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, showcasing images of the remake in progress, further solidified these rumors.

Should these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition featuring the infamous horse armor will be available alongside the standard version.

Don't miss the chance to get all the official details tomorrow. Tune in to Bethesda's streams on YouTube and Twitch to see this long-awaited remaster finally come to light.
