Marvel Rivals Season 1: A New York City Nightmare – All New Maps Revealed

Marvel Rivals' first season continues to expand with exciting new content. Beyond the Fantastic Four additions, several new maps themed around a dark, nocturnal New York City are being introduced. Here's a breakdown of each map in Season 1:

Table of Contents

  • Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
  • Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum
  • Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Launching alongside Season 1, Midtown is a Convoy map designed for the game's payload-style mode. Players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across the map. This is the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Midtown depicts a New York City shrouded in Dracula's Blood Moon. Points of Interest include iconic Marvel locations and real-world Midtown Manhattan landmarks:

  • Baxter Building
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Stark/Avengers Tower
  • Fisk Tower
  • Ardmore's Bookstore
  • Timely Trend

This unique version of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum is exclusive to Season 1 and hosts the game's Doom Match mode – a free-for-all deathmatch. Top-ranking players earn wins, with the best player receiving MVP.

The map beautifully recreates Doctor Strange's home and headquarters, first introduced in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU. Expect hidden secrets, supernatural rooms, portals, an infinite staircase, and even a chance to interact with Bats the Ghost Dog.

Details are limited as this map is slated for release in the latter half of Season 1. Set in Manhattan's Central Park, the map is expected to feature a stylized Belvedere Castle, located at one of the park's highest points. Its Gothic architecture will perfectly complement the Empire of Eternal Night theme, possibly serving as Dracula's New York City hideout.

These are all the confirmed new maps for Marvel Rivals Season 1. Stay tuned for updates!
