Marvel Contest of Champions has hinted at their latest upcoming Champion for 2026
J. Jonah Jameson is set to join the competition, controlling the Spider-slayer robot
In the meantime, the 11th anniversary festivities offer a variety of rewards for the holidays
Kabam's Marvel: Contest of Champions has remained highly popular with dedicated fans on mobile. After an exciting year, it's no surprise that they have even more planned for the holidays and beyond 2026. However, with their newest champion, the developer may have surprised even long-time followers, as J. Jonah Jameson is joining the fight!
Yes, I had to check exactly how a somewhat awkward man in his early fifties could stand against gods and monsters. But back then, before he became more relaxed, good old JJ sent a robot known as the Spider Slayer after Spider-Man, and it seems he's doing so once again in 2026!
That's not all, because to celebrate 11 years of Contests, you will also be able to obtain the Summoner's Choice 2025 champion for free. This time around, it's Mr Knight, along with a special player title based on your experience, as well as an Anniversary supply drop calendar that runs for up to seven days between the 11th and the 18th.

This is certainly an intriguing addition to the roster, J. Jonah Jameson. But if you're not too excited, we're still not finished with the celebrations! The MCoC Banquet Event returns from January 19th to 2nd, and you can enjoy a range of events as well as the opportunity to acquire seven-star champions such as Scorpion, Kingin, and Punisher.
Well, I'm getting the feeling there's a Spider-Villain theme going on here. But even that only scratches the surface of what's available, so be sure to check in for the Naughty and Nice new player bundle giveaway, Christmas rewards, and the Cosmic Invasion collaboration starting January!
And don't forget to check out our Marvel: Contest of Champions tier list while you're here, to prepare for all these amazing unlockables and new additions!
