Portal Games Digital has released a digital adaptation of its popular board game, Imperial Miners, for Android devices. This card game centers around strategic mine construction. The release follows the successful Android launches of other similar titles from Portal Games Digital, including Neuroshima Convoy, Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write, and Tides of Time.
Imperial Miners, designed by Tim Armstrong (known for Arcana Rising and Orbis), features artwork by Hanna Kuik (whose credits include Batman: Everybody Lies and Dune: House Secrets).
Gameplay Overview:
Players manage underground excavations, aiming to create the most efficient mine through strategic card play. The game involves building a subterranean empire, collecting Crystals and Carts to earn Victory Points. Each card played triggers its own effect and activates cards above it. Six unique factions offer diverse strategic combinations. Ten rounds of play, each introducing a new Event, add an element of unpredictable challenge. Progress boards, three randomly selected from six options per game, provide additional strategic layers and ensure replayability.
Verdict:
Imperial Miners offers a compelling engine-building experience, faithfully recreating the original board game’s appeal in digital form. Priced at $4.99 on the Google Play Store, it's a worthwhile addition for strategy game enthusiasts. Check out our other news for more gaming updates.
