Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile port is currently in beta testing.
Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?
While some graphical compromises are expected due to the limitations of mobile hardware compared to high-end PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included in the mobile release. THQ Nordic and HandyGames are preparing for a soon-to-be-announced launch. A closed beta test has been announced via a tweet from HandyGames, with a signup form available on their official X account for interested participants.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic gameplay and realistic animal behavior. The game's vast open worlds, inspired by the USA and Europe, provide a massive 55-square-mile hunting ground.
Players can utilize a range of authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and employ advanced tracking techniques, analyzing blood splatter and animal signs to locate their quarry. The video below offers a glimpse of the gameplay.
The game features a dynamic ecosystem where actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, and the mobile version will offer full controller support. For more information, visit the official website.
