The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox game, Rivals, has just released Update 9, bringing with it the innovative Gunblade weapon and the new Bridge map, expanding the game's content offerings. Developer Nosniy Games has shared detailed patch notes for this update, which, while smaller than some of its predecessors, still packs a punch with its fresh additions.
Known for its engaging FPS gameplay and diverse weaponry, Rivals introduces the Gunblade—a versatile weapon that functions as both a ranged rifle and a melee blade. This dual-purpose weapon could be a game-changer, offering players a tactical edge in close encounters, especially on the newly added Bridge map. This map, set in Seoul and designed by creator @GreatGuyBoom, is a compact arena that thrusts players into intense, close-quarters combat with minimal cover, fostering fast-paced action from the get-go.
Interestingly, the patch notes for Rivals Update 9 do not list any bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life updates. Nosniy Games has opted to focus solely on the introduction of the Bridge map and the Gunblade. However, they did make minor adjustments to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed several Hexxed items to Vexed. The developers have promised that the next major update will bring the much-anticipated Ranked feature, along with necessary improvements and changes based on player feedback.
