Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Leaks: New Dendro DPS and Natlan's Arrival

A recent leak reveals details about a new five-star Dendro DPS character slated for Genshin Impact's 5.0 update, coinciding with the introduction of the Natlan region. This update, following Fontaine's storyline conclusion, is highly anticipated by the community for its wealth of new content, including terrain, characters, weapons, and storylines. Natlan, known as the Pyro nation and its association with war, is ruled by the Pyro Archon, Murata, also called the God of War.

According to leaker Uncle K, the new character will be a male Claymore-wielding Dendro DPS. His abilities will center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions. Bloom, created by combining Dendro and Hydro, generates explosive Dendro Cores. Burning, a simpler reaction combining Dendro and Pyro, inflicts a Damage over Time (DoT) effect. This marks the first five-star Dendro Claymore user in the game.

Community Concerns Regarding Burning Reaction

The reliance on the Burning reaction raises some concerns among players, as it's generally considered less potent than other Dendro reactions. This contrasts with the upcoming five-star Dendro support character, Emilie, in update 4.8. Initially designed around Burning, Emilie has reportedly received buffs enhancing her versatility across different team compositions.

While the Natlan Pyro Archon's arrival is confirmed, the 4.8 Special Program (around July 5th) might unveil more Natlan characters. Further leaks point to Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger, as the main antagonist of the Natlan arc. Columbina is rumored to be a powerful Cryo user, with a potential release in 2025.
