This guide details how to collect the four Burning Firestones in Genshin Impact's "The Other Side of the Sky" quest. After assisting Bona with the Chu'ulel Light Core, you must obtain these stones to transform the Jade of Return.
Obtaining the Burning Firestones:
The quest takes place on Tonatiuh, a floating island. Navigation involves manipulating several mechanisms to extend bridges and activate lifts. A small Saurian creature will guide you to each Firestone.
Burning Firestone #1:
This Firestone is obtained automatically during an initial cutscene after reaching Tonatiuh. Follow the Saurian across a bridge (using a lift mechanism) to continue.
Burning Firestone #2:
This Firestone is located on the northeastern isle. The process involves:
- Rotating two floating isle mechanisms to create a bridge.
- Crossing the bridge and raising a lift.
- Following the Saurian to the Firestone.
- Activating a mechanism, climbing to an upper level, and defeating an enemy.
- Opening a gate and collecting chests.
- Returning to the Altar of Primal of Flame with the Saurian.
Burning Firestone #3:
This Firestone requires the following steps:
- Rotating the right and northern floating isle mechanisms.
- Crossing the bridge to the northern isle's lower level.
- Following the Saurian, observing the Sentinel move the Firestone to the southwestern isle.
- Riding a Qucusaurus to the southwestern isle.
- Activating a mechanism inside a tower.
- Using the Qucusaurus to reach an unlocked door.
- Using an elevator to return to the upper level.
- Following the Saurian and activating a lift.
- Returning to the Altar of Primal of Flame.
Burning Firestone #4:
The final Firestone is on the northwestern isle's upper level:
- Crossing the northwestern bridge (using Bona to adjust it).
- Gliding to the northern isle's upper level.
- Lowering a lift and following the Saurian.
- Defeating enemies.
- Collecting a chest and returning to the Altar of Primal of Flame.
Completing the Quest:
Once all four Firestones are offered at the Altar, a cutscene will transform the Jade of Return into a Golden Entreaty. This triggers a confrontation with the Dragon of the City of Flowing Ash, leading you to the Nursery of Nightmares island and the completion of "The Other Side of the Sky" quest, rewarding you with 50 Primogems.
