Gears of War: E-Day Co-Developer People Can Fly Signs New Project With Sony, Codenamed Project Delta

People Can Fly, renowned for developing Bulletstorm and co-developing Gears of War: E-Day, has recently entered into an agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment to create a new game, codenamed Project Delta. This exciting collaboration was detailed in a report by People Can Fly, which highlighted that Project Delta is designated as a work-for-hire project, though specifics about the game remain under wraps.

In addition to Project Delta, People Can Fly is juggling multiple other projects, each with its own codename. They are currently working on Project Gemini in collaboration with Square Enix, which unfortunately saw the layoff of 30 developers last year. Another project, Project Echo, is being developed with Krafton, while Project Red is also seemingly in partnership with Sony. The studio also recently announced that Project Bison, a VR project, will be their final venture into virtual reality.

The studio faced some setbacks last December when it decided to suspend work on Project Victoria and scale down Project Bifrost. Earlier in April, they had to cancel Project Dagger, which was intended to be an action-adventure game in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these challenges, People Can Fly remains busy with a total of eight known projects in development. Among these is the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, developed in partnership with The Coalition. While we await a release date for Gears of War: E-Day, Project Gemini, their collaboration with Square Enix, is slated for a 2026 release.
