Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, boosting FPS in 75 games. Initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, this enhancement will significantly improve performance, as demonstrated by a Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark jumping from under 30 FPS to 236 FPS with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation enabled on the RTX 5090.

The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture with significant improvements to DLSS. Multi-Frame Generation promises faster FPS increases than its predecessor. The flagship RTX 5090, priced at $1,999, boasts 32GB of GDDR7 memory. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).

While DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation launch with 75 games and applications (see list below), Nvidia confirmed that enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA) will also be available for older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates. Furthermore, upcoming titles like Doom: The Dark Ages will also support Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction.
