Dynabytes' Fantasma: A New AR Multiplayer GPS Adventure
Fantasma, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game from Dynabytes, recently emerged from under the radar, making its debut at Gamescom Latam. This update brings exciting new features, including the addition of several new languages.
The latest update now includes Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support – a fitting addition given the game's unveiling in Brazil. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish language support slated for release in the coming months.
But what exactly is Fantasma? Players are tasked with hunting and battling mischievous Fantasma creatures that plague the world. Using portable electromagnetic fields (instead of traditional bait!), players lure these paranormal entities into AR combat.
Gameplay involves maneuvering your phone to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to fire projectiles. Once defeated, these creatures are captured in special bottles.
The Fantasma encounters are location-based, encouraging exploration to discover new creatures. Players can deploy sensors to expand their search radius and attract Fantasma from further distances. Cooperative gameplay is also supported, allowing players to team up for a more social experience.
