Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently deactivated.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined versions of beloved characters. Despite initial excitement, the game's lengthy beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition.
The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, also hampered its longevity. However, the game's artistic merit, particularly its creative and visually stunning character designs, remains undeniable.
The Unexpected EOS Announcement
The EOS announcement is particularly surprising given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt closure follows a pattern established by Kabam, who previously unexpectedly shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
The sudden closure leaves many players disappointed. What are your thoughts on the Disney Mirrorverse EOS? Share your comments below. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
