The celebrated creators of Disco Elysium have unveiled plans for an Android adaptation that reimagines their award-winning RPG. Breaking away from its desktop roots, this mobile interpretation will adopt a visual novel format while preserving the game's signature depth.
A Bold New Approach
Forging a fresh path, ZA/UM's mobile vision replaces the original's isometric perspective with lush illustrations and branching narratives. Players will experience the same rich storytelling accompanied by fully voiced performances - just optimized for touchscreen play.
Tõnis Haavel of ZA/UM explains their strategic vision:
"We're crafting bite-sized narrative experiences designed to captivate TikTok's audience through mesmerizing illustrations and voice acting. This isn't just a port - it's a reinvention tailored for modern mobile consumption while staying true to Disco's soul.
Story-driven masterpieces belong in players' pockets. Our challenge was honoring what fans love while making it effortlessly accessible. Whether you're discovering Revachol for the first time or returning as a veteran detective, we want that smartphone to feel like home."
The studio remains tight-lipped about exact timing, promising to reveal launch details in future announcements.
