Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting lineup of upcoming content for Crusader Kings III as part of Chapter IV, scheduled to roll out throughout 2025. This new chapter focuses on expanding the game's scope to include Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to delve into.
The chapter starts with the release of the cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack adds six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, enabling players to further personalize their rulers and enhance their visual experience within the game.
Next up, on April 28, comes the first major expansion, Khans of the Steppe. This DLC lets players step into the shoes of the Great Khan, leading the Mongol hordes in a quest to conquer and dominate neighboring lands. It promises a thrilling experience of nomadic warfare and empire-building.
In Q3 (July–September), Coronations will be introduced, bringing a new ceremonial mechanic to the game. Players will have the opportunity to legitimize their reign through elaborate coronation events, complete with lavish festivities, solemn vows, and crucial decisions about their kingdom's future. This DLC also includes new advisor and vassal events, enriching the political dynamics of the game.
The chapter will culminate with the release of All Under Heaven later in the year. This expansive DLC will open up the entire East Asian map, featuring detailed regions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players can look forward to exploring and conquering vast new territories, further expanding their empires.
Between the major DLC releases, Paradox Interactive will continue to release patches aimed at refining game systems and improving AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback into future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
